Monsanto gets more time to file amended petition against CCI order
NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has given US seed company Monsanto time to file an amended writ petition against antitrust regulator Competition Commission of India’s order that rejected its pleas challenging a probe against the company's joint venture in the country.

Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva on Wednesday listed the matter for hearing on September 5 after allowing amended application.

The petitioner were directed to file amended writ petition incorporating the additional grounds, to their challenge to the CCI order of July 26 within two days. The regulator is investigating if Mahyco Monsanto Biotech (MMBL) has abused its dominant position as a supplier of genetically modified (GM) cotton seeds in the country.
