The bonhomie between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping continued well into Saturday, with the two leaders discussing issues during a relaxed walk along the picturesque East Lake in Wuhan, followed by tea and a boat ride. Only their interpreters accompanied the duo.

Modi and Xi appeared relaxed as they walked sideby-side, engrossed in conversation. A boat ride was followed by lunch. Again, only Modi and Xi were present. This was the final and the most “informal” round of talks between Modi and Xi.

On Friday night, the two leaders enjoyed a cultural ensemble, in which Chinese musicians played a timeless Bollywood song, much to the cheer of the visitors.

Earlier, Modi was welcomed with a classical Chinese dance, after which Xi took him to see some of the most historic art collections and cultural relics of China’s ancient civilisation. One-on-one talks began after the museum visit.

After dinner, the two leaders listened to an instrumental rendition of the 1982 Bollywood song, Tu, tu hai wahi dil ne jise apna kaha.
