'Modi wave' is waning away fast: Adhir Chowdhury
KOLKATA: Citing results of the just concluded by-elections, West Bengal state Congress President Adhir Chowdhury today said the "so called Modi wave" is waning away very fast.

"The Modi wave is waning away too fast. The by-election results have shown that the BJP wave or Modi wave is no longer there," said Chowdhury.

When asked whether there was a prospect of Congress and Trinamool Congress forging an alliance in West Bengal on the lines of RJD and JD(U) in Bihar to stop the rise of BJP, Chowdhury said, he was not aware of such a probability.

"The Congress and RJD were together since the UPA-1 regime. The JD(U) later on joined before the by-elections to stop the BJP," the state PCC president said.

The RJD-JD(U) alliance won six of the total ten seats yesterday in Bihar by-polls.
