NEW DELHI: Continuing his attack against the Centre, Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi today said Modi government's Make in India project has failed and every section of the society is protesting against government.

"Modi government is trying to silence the protesting voices, but angry youth can't be silenced or bought," Rahul said.

"Even whole world's money can't bought Gujarat. You can't buy the people of Gujarat. For the last 22 years, there has been no people's government in Gujarat. It has been governments by industrialists," he said.


Criticising government's Make in India programme and it's inability to generate employment in the country, he said: "Government's Make in India has totally failed and when you click a selfie, every time you buy something a Chinese youth gets employment not an Indian."

"Everyday more than 30,000 youths go out to look for jobs, only Gujarat has 30 lakh unemployed youth. But Narendra Modi government can provide employment to just 450 of them," he added.

"The Rs 35,000 crore spent for Nano project which could have been given to Gujarat farmers. Last year government distributed Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand crore to industrialists."

He also said Goods and Services Tax in not GST but its Gabbar Singh Tax.
