Modi mum on Sohrabuddin case post SC notice
Narendra Modi may use the Supreme Court notice issued on Wednesday to rally votes in his support.
Mr Modi, it appears, has decided to lie low on the issue. His reaction to the development was to let the government handle the issue. His campaign manager Arun Jaitley, who is an eminent lawyer, too was guarded in his response. Mr Jaitley said he would wait for details.
BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar, reacted by saying, “Narendra Modi will never justify fake encounter. Whatever happened is a legal procedure and we will file our reply on time and the development will not have any influence on people’s perception during elections.” However, Mr Modi’s spin doctors were seen gloating over the development. The party’s backroom operators were already on the job to unleash a whisper campaign to “expose the prejudiced attitude of those behind the move.”
