Moderate earthquake jolts northwest China

BEIJING: An earthquake measuring 4.9 today jolted Ruoqiang county in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The epicentre, with a depth of 6 km, was monitored at about 38.3 degrees north latitude and 89.5 degrees east longitude, China Earthquake Networks Centre said.

No reports of damage were reported yet.
