Model of Sardar Patel's 'Statue of Unity' to be ready by October: Ram Vanji Sutar

The proposed statue of India's first Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's brainchild.
Sutar said he was contacted by L&T company three months back to construct the bronze-model.
"We have started the work. Our aim is to handover the model to the company by October this year," said the Padma Shri awardee artist.
The 90-year-old artist is working on the model at his Noida studio with his son Anil Kumar.
Sutar said he considers his contribution in the making of the world's tallest statue as his life's biggest achievement.
