MNS workers vandalize toll booths in Thane on Raj Thackeray's orders
At least half a dozen toll plazas were vandalized by suspected MNS activists here after party chief Raj Thackeray asked workers not to pay toll tariff and "crush" the toll gates.

Hundreds of vehicles were stranded on the Mumbai-Pune expressway, at several points as MNS workers attacked the toll plazas causing traffic disruption. In Mumbai, Dahisar, Navi Mumbai and Thane toll plazas were attacked by MNS activists.
Over 20 MNS members, including party's Mumbai MLA Pravin Darekar, were detained by the local police for these attacks and disruption. BJP and Shiv Sena had jointly announced a few days ago that they will make Maharashtra a toll-free state if the alliance comes to power.
