MNS wants Eastern Freeway to be named after Bal Thackeray

MNS MLA Bala Nandgaonkar had written a letter in this regard to Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, party sources said.

MUMBAI: Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena today demanded that the newly opened Eastern Freeway in the city be named after the late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray.

MNS MLA Bala Nandgaonkar had written a letter in this regard to Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, party sources said.

The 16.8-km long Freeway connects P D'Mello Road in South Mumbai to the Eastern Express Highway at Ghatkopar.
