MNS leader withdraws plea against gag order on Raj Thackeray

Senior MNS leader Satish Pradhan on Monday withdrew his petition challenging the police's gag order against Raj Thackeray.

MUMBAI: Senior MNS leader Satish Pradhan on Monday withdrew his petition challenging the police's gag order against Raj Thackeray.

Pradhan withdrew the petition as currently no gag order is in operation, with the earlier order expiring on March 3.

The petition was filed prior to March 3, challenging the prohibitory orders against MNS president Raj that were passed by police in the wake of his campaign against north Indians.

In an affidavit filed yesterday, police contended that currently no order is in operation against Raj, although they have issued a show-cause notice to him as to why the order should not renewed.
