The BJP has decided to deploy party MLAs from other states to get independent feedback from each assembly seat in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh. MLAs from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat and Maharashtra will be on a seven-day pravas (stay) in the state, said party functionaries.

The move is part of the action plan rolled out by Union home minister Amit Shah since he took charge of the party's election preparations in Madhya Pradesh. He has been giving assignments to party leaders and taking a weekly report on the work done on the given assignment, said people aware of the matter.

Each MLA will be assigned an assembly seat and they will tour the constituency for seven days. The MLAs will prepare a detailed report on the ground situation in the constituency, probable candidates and the issues which the party can raise during the campaign. The report will be submitted to the state election in-charge Bhupender Yadav.

These reports will be taken into consideration while preparing the party's campaign strategy in the coming months, said the people.

A similar exercise was carried out last month where vistaraks (full-time workers) and booth committee leaders from across the country took part in training and later travelled throughout the state to train the booth workers and gauge the party workers mood ahead of the upcoming assembly election.
