Mizoram has decided to return to total lockdown for two weeks

Guwahati: Mizoram has decided to return to total lockdown for two weeks starting from midnight of Monday.

Chief Minister, Zoramthanga tweeted, “Total Lockdown for 2 weeks starting midnight tonight! Quarantine period: 21 days Home quarantine option will be limited to only extreme unavoidable cases.”

He was also engaged in a consultative meeting on Covid-19 with representatives from member of legislatures, government officials, non-government hospital, church leaders, village and local council members, task forces, NGO's to discuss the state's way forward.


Mizoram has 42 positive cases of COVID-19. The chief minister on Sunday stated, “Another 10 +ve Covid-19 cases confirmed overnight! It’s high time everyone becomes more.”
