Mizoram government to shut schools after students test positive for Covid-19

School education minister Lalchhandama Ralte said the decision was taken after a meeting of school education officials and leaders of the teachers' association. He said that for students of class ten and twelve online classes will continue.

School in the state will now reopen on November 9.
Guwahati: With some students infected by COVID-19 after opening of school from October 16, Mizoram government has decided to close all the schools.

School education minister Lalchhandama Ralte said the decision was taken after a meeting of school education officials and leaders of the teachers' association.

He said that for students of class ten and twelve online classes will continue. School will now reopen from November 9, he said.


Many parents are reluctant to send their children to school.
