Mizoram CM Lal Thanhawla wins Serchhip

AIZAWAL: Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla won the Serchhip seat by a margin of 734 votes defeating his MNF rival C Lalramzauva in a four cornered contest.

Thanhawla polled 5719 votes and Lalramzauva, who is an advocate, 4985. Zoram Nationalist Party nominee P B Lalsawliana polled 2899 and Independent Lalawpuia Renthlei just 65 votes.

Altogether 65 votes were registered in the None of the Above category.
