The Mizoram State Tobacco Control Society have bagged the prestigious World Health Organisation (WHO) award.

AIZWAL: Indian Society on Tobacco and Health, Mizoram Chapter, headed by Lal Riliani, wife of Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla and the Mizoram State Tobacco Control Society have bagged the prestigious World Health Organisation (WHO) award.

An official statement today said that the ISTH, Mizoram Chapter, and MSTCS won the Regional Director Appreciation Award of the 2015 World No Tobacco Day Awards for South East Asia Six Regions.

Riliani and Dr Jane R Ralte, Nodal Officer of the MSTCS left Mizoram for Delhi yesterday to receive the award, the statement added.
