Mizoram Assembly Speaker disqualifies leader of opposition under anti-defection law

Around 12 MLAs from the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) in September this year has moved the speaker, seeking disqualification of Lalduhoma under anti-defection law.
He was served notice on September 24 following which he submitted his reply on October 8. Lalduhoma reportedly claimed that he did not defect to any other party as he continuously maintained his allegiance to the ZPM since its formation.
