Mishra, 6 others file papers from Maya’s den

While chief minister Mayawati was declared elected to the Legislative Council unopposed on Thursday, seven BSP candidates filed their nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha elections on Friday.

LUCKNOW: While chief minister Mayawati was declared elected to the Legislative Council unopposed on Thursday, seven BSP candidates filed their nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha elections on Friday.

Mayawati’s close confidante and BSP general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra declared assets worth Rs 33 crore while filing his nomination papers.

Mr S C Mishra has gold and jewellry worth Rs 1.10 crore and three vehicles, including a tractor. He has Rs 2.47 crore in cash, fixed deposits, etc, besides Rs 94.91 lakh as income from partnership firm.

He has agriculture land worth Rs 1.20 crore, and three residential bungalows in Lucknow and Dadri valued at Rs 1.79 crore. He also owns a bungalow at Sunder Nagar in New Delhi worth Rs 3.86 crore.

Mr Mishra showed properties worth Rs 11.41 crore as inheritance from father and ancestors.
