Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptullah condemns attack on school children in Pakistan

NEW DELHI: Terming the killing of 141 persons, including 132 children, by terrorists in a school in Peshawar in Pakistan as a "barbaric attack on humanity," Union Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptullah today said those who committed the sin on innocent people can never be forgiven.

"I am ashamed that these people are calling themselves Muslims and they dare to take the name of God... How can they take the name of Allah? Because He is not going to forgive them ever for the sins they have committed on his innocent people," she said outside the Parliament.

At least 141 people, including 132 students, were brutally killed by militants, who stormed an army-run school in Peshawar yesterday.

Expressing shock over the killing of school children, Heptullah condoled the bereaved families.

"I am very shocked and dismayed about what happened in Pakistan... I have no words to express my sorrow. I have also children and grandchildren. I can understand the agony and sadness of families affected by it," she added.
