Ministers' portfolio reshuffle on cards in Goa
PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has hinted at reshuffling portfolios of Cabinet ministers before the winter session of the state Legislative Assembly.

People will see ministers responding to questions from their new portfolios for the Legislative Assembly session, Parrikar told mediapersons here last evening.

The session is scheduled in the first week of October. "Everything is done. You will see the change during the coming Assembly session," he said, responding to a question on whether performance evaluation of the ministers has been done as announced earlier.

The chief minister said most of the portfolios which are currently with him would be disbursed to ministers as additional allocation.

The Parrikar-led Cabinet has 12 ministers, including the chief minister.

During the swearing-in ceremony held in March 2012, Parrikar had allotted two portfolios each to the ministers, retaining rest of the departments with him.

He had announced that he would allot another portfolio to each minister only after assessing their performances as many of the them were first timers in the Cabinet.
