Minister under scanner: K Sambasiva Rao

MoS textiles K Sambasiva Rao seems to have a penchant for transferring officials. Over the last three months, he is supposed to have been instrumental in changing the line of command of officials handling cotton sales at least thrice.

More baffling has been the frequent change in the work allocation of joint secretaries, prompting quite a few of them to move out to other ministries. Maybe, the political class will not keep its eyes shut anymore as the World Bank has now debarred a firm, reportedly founded by the minister, for violating its fraud and corruption policies.
