Minister of State for Home Affairs Jitendra Singh asked to appear before Rajasthan court in property case
Minister of State for Home Affairs Jitendra Singh has been asked to appear by a court before it on August 19 in connection with a property case.
The case relates to ownership of Raghuveer Bhawan, located at the heart of the city here, filed yesterday by advocate Rajkumar Dadich on behalf of his client Goswami Vittalnath.
On the request of his wife Sobhagaya Kanwar, the former king of Bundi state Raja Raghuveer Singh was reported to have donated the imposing Raghuveer Bhawan to Goswami Brijbhashan Das of Chopasnik Jodhpur through registered donation letter in August 9, 1951.
As Das used to stay in Chopasni (Jodhpur), the erstwhile royal family has been taking care of the property and performing the religious rites at the temple of Bhallab community inside Raghuveer Bhawan, Dadich said.
The petitioner is son of Goswami Brijbhashan Das. "My client has alleged in the suit that after the death of Ranjeet Singh, the former head of the royal family, Jitendra Singh, who is maternal nephew of late Ranjeet Singh and heir of the royal property of Bundi, has not been performing his duty at the temple as per customs of Bhallab community and trying to change the original structure of the building," Dadich told PTI.
Judicial magistrate Riddhima Sharma, after hearing the matter, issued a notice to Singh to appear in the court on August 19 to present his side.
