Militants may try to repeat Raj Bagh type attack: CRPF

KATHUA: CRPF today cautioned that militants might try to repeat the Raj Bagh police station type of terrorist attack in the district.

"The CRPF needs to be vigilant as there is possibility that militants might try to repeat a Raj Bagh police station type of terrorist attack that took place earlier this month," Director General of CRPF, Prakash Mishra told reporters.

He said that the focus needs to be on the tactical deployment and training of soldiers to meet out the challenges of militants and minimise the loss and casualties during the encounters.

"We are ready to face any challenge," he said. Mishra also met with CRPF jawan who were injured during the militants attack at police station Rajbagh. He also inspected the arms and ammunition recovered from the slain militants in Rajbagh encounter.
