Militants attack police officer's house in Baramulla

SRINAGAR: Suspected militants opened fire on the house of a police officer in Sopore township of north Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said today.

The officer and his family escaped unhurt in the brief firing on their house by unidentified militants at Dangerpora village of Sopore, 55 kms from here, around 9 pm yesterday, a police official said.

A hunt has been launched to nab the attackers, the official said.
