Militants attack passenger train in Assam

Militants attacked passenger train killing a CRPF jawan & injuring 10.

GUWAHATI: Continuing with its trail of pre-poll violence, a passenger train was attacked in central Assam���s North Cachar hills by militants killing one CRPF jawan and injuring 10 others. One jawan of the Railway Protection Special Force was also injured.

The CRPF jawan has been identified as AK Tiwari. Sources in the Northeast Frontier Railway said that there was indiscriminate firing on the Badarpur-Lumding passenger train at Wangardisa at about 1.15pm on Friday.
