Militants attack CRPF camp in JK

Two militants, believed to be part of a suicide squad, were killed this morning after they stormed into a CRPF camp, hurling grenades and opening fire, on the outskirts of this town.

SRINAGAR: Two militants, believed to be part of a suicide squad, were killed this morning after they stormed into a CRPF camp, hurling grenades and opening fire, on the outskirts of this town.

Seven CRPF personnel were also injured in the attack which took place at around 10.20 hours when the militants stormed into the 142 Battalion CRPF camp near Zakura police station, sources said.

The exact number of those who attacked the camp was not immediately known; sources said adding they were believed to be part of a suicide squad.

Inspector General of CRPF S K Singh has confirmed that two militants were killed in the gun battle.
