Militant hideout busted in Poonch

JAMMU: Security forces today busted a militant hideout and recovered arms and ammunitions in Poonch district, officials said.

Acting on a tip off, Rashtriya Rifle troops conducted a search operation in Phulwari forests of Thanamandi area this morning and busted a militants hideout, they said, adding however, the militants had managed to escape before the arrival of troops.

Three AK magazines, 22 rounds of AK, six grenades and one radio set were recovered from the spot.

Search operation was on to nab the militants, they added.
