Migrant labourer taken for questioning in Assam blasts

A migrant labourer from Assam was questioned by intelligence agencies.

ALUVA (KERALA): A migrant labourer from Assam was questioned on Sunday by intelligence agencies and police in connection with the serial bomb blasts in Guwahati.

Mohd Saibul Ishra (25), a worker in bricksklin near Perumabavoor, was detained after the Anti-Terrorist Squad and intelligence agencies traced phone calls made by him just before the blast, police said.

According to police, at least 12 migrant labourers are under police surveilence.

Ishra had allegedly made contradicting statements during the questioning by police officials, they said.
