Mumbai: Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Monday made a Congress minister take his oath again for deviating from the script and giving a 'thank you' speech. Koshyari tried to stop KC Padavi, who after his speech said, "I bow before nature and humanity, I also thank the people of my constituency."

Koshyari apparently lost his cool and asked Padavi to stop since this speech was 'against the protocol.'

However, Padavi continued his speech. An irate Koshyari then asked Padavi to take the oath again. When Padavi protested, Koshyari said, "There are seniors leaders such as Sharad Pawar and (Mallikarjun) Kharge here. Ask them. If they say I am wrong, then I will accept. Please only read what has been written," said Koshyari. Padavi then took the oath. Koshyari also corrected another Congress minister Varsha Gaikwad.
