Metro staff detect arm, bullets in passengers' bags, call cops

Two persons were today booked under Arms Act here after a country made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from their possession by the security staff of City Centre Metro station, police said.

NOIDA: Two persons were today booked under Arms Act here after a country made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from their possession by the security staff of City Centre Metro station, police said.

According to police, the duo were detained by the Metro security staff after the weapon and the bullets, kept between clothes in their bags, were detected when the luggage was passing through the scanner machine.

The Metro staff called the police and handed over the accused to them.

They were identified as Dilshad and Zahid, police said, adding that live in a rented accommodation at Mamura village near here.
