Ongoing illegal drug trades are a major cause of concern for the state of Mizoram.
Troops of Assam Rifles and Aizawl special narcotics department, in a joint operation, recovered Methamphetamine Tablets worth Rs 10.50 crore in Mizoram.

Aizawl Battalion of Assam Rifles, under the aegis of 23 Sector Assam Rifles/ Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East), launched a joint operation with Special Narcotics department Aizawl .

"One drug peddler was arrested in the operation who is resident of Tahan, Myanmar. The apprehended along with the recovered items was handed over to police for further investigations & prosecution," Assam rifles said.


Ongoing illegal drug trades are a major cause of concern for the state of Mizoram.

"The successful operation conducted by Assam Rifles highlights the strict vigil maintained by the force in its area of responsibility & exhibits true synergy between law enforcement agencies to curb cross border illegal activities."
