Member protests Speaker's decision, walks out in huff
Congress member from Uttar Pradesh Brijendra Singh today created a flutter in the Lok Sabha when he walked out of the House protesting Speaker Somnath Chatterjee's decision not to allow him to raise an issue.

NEW DELHI: Congress member from Uttar Pradesh Brijendra Singh today created a flutter in the Lok Sabha when he walked out of the House protesting Speaker Somnath Chatterjee's decision not to allow him to raise an issue.
"For what we are here if we can't raise issues of the people?" a visibly agitated Singh said leaving the House in a huff.
Chatterjee earlier ruled that the member cannot raise the issue concerning some acquisition of land as it was a state matter.
Hurt by the member's remark, the Speaker observed it was very easy to make accusations and that he could be removed.
"I am willing to go away. I have not come here on my asking," he said.
