Mehbooba Mufti hints at trust deficit with BJP, urges Centre to repose trust
SRINAGAR: As the political stalemate in J&K continues, the Peoples Democratic Party on Sunday hinted at trust deficit with alliance partner BJP, urging the Centre to repose trust in the people of the state to implement the Agenda of Alliance.

According to people who participated in a four-hour-long party meeting, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti claimed she could become the chief minister within "10 minutes" provided she is convinced that the "vision of peace and reconciliation of her father Mufti Sayeed would be implemented".

The party has authorised Mehbooba to take a call on government formation. Its legislators are again meeting on Monday at the Fairview residence of Mehbooba to discuss government formation.

“Mufti sahab’s legacy is not to be in power. And the AoA (Agenda of Alliance) is not just about governance, but larger regional aspiration of peace and reconciliation," Mehbooba told PDP members, adding: "Mufti sahab has left power 10 times during his lifetime."
