Meghalaya reduces petrol and diesel prices by Rs 5.54 per litre
Meghalaya has announced a reduction of prices by at least Rs 5.54 per litre on petrol and diesel. Recently Meghalaya has cut petrol diesel prices by Rs 2 per litre.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, tweeted, “In addition to the previous rebate of Rs. 2 per litre, Government has decided to reduce the petrol price further by Rs 5.4 per litre and diesel by Rs 5.1 per litre to offer relief to consumers of #Meghalaya with slight variations in other Districts”.
During the COVID-19 pandemic last year Meghalaya had levied sales tax surcharge at 2 per cent on motor spirit including petrol (but excluding motor spirit used as fuel for aircraft, diesel oil and other internal combustion oil), diesel oil and other internal combustion.
