Can't hate those who hate me: Rahul Gandhi dig at the BJP
Congress President Rahul Gandhi used the cash-for-content sting to take a dig at the BJP, accusing the party of twisting facts to malign its opponents' image.

The sting done by a website revealed how some media houses were ready to peddle the Hindutva agenda to polarize voters on communal lines for money. Cobrapost, the site that did the sting, claimed one of its scribes carrying spy cams interviewed many media executives who were willing to polarise voters for money.

The site claimed the media firms also expressed their readiness to malign image of political leaders, rake muck on most celebrated and members of legal fraternities and civil society.

"I can never hate those who try to stir up hate against me, with fake stories and their cunning twisting of fact. For them it’s just business; hate sold for a price, as the expose shows. I’m blessed and honoured that they make their livelihoods spinning lies about me," Gandhi tweeted in his retort.

The sting purportedly named 17 media firms.

Rahul Gandhi is also under attack from BJP and its social media team after he tweeted BJP chief Amit Shah's video as Congress' 'top secret campaign video'. In the video, Amit Shah mistakenly called former Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa as most corrupt instead of Siddaramaiah.
