NEW DELHI: A day after the Left parties withdrew support to the UPA government, Vaiko's MDMK, an ally of the Congress in the UPA, has decided to vote against the government on the Indo-US nuclear deal.

Talking to Times Now from the United States, Vaiko said that his party will issue a whip to the four MPs to vote against the government during the trust vote.

The MDMK, along with the DMK and PMK, are the regional allies of the government from Tamil Nadu.

The government's hopes now rest on the Samajwadi Party.
