MDMK leader Vaiko appears in court in defamation cases

The cases were filed by Karunanidhi for alleged defamatory statements made by Vaiko against him to then PM in 2006 & at a public meeting in 2009.

MDMK leader Vaiko appears in court in defamation cases
CHENNAI: MDMK founder leader Vaiko today appeared before a court here in two defamation cases filed against him during the previous DMK regime.

When the cases came up for hearing, Vaiko appeared before Seventh Additional Sessions Judge Gomathi Jeyam who adjourned them to November 24.

The cases were filed by then chief minister M Karunanidhi for alleged defamatory statements made by Vaiko against him in a letter to then Prime Minister in December, 2006 and at a public meeting in the city on May 15, 2009.
