Mayawati's misrule will end with polls: BJP
BJP on Saturday accused BSP and SP of bailing out Congress-led UPA government at the Centre time and again and said Mayawati's "misrule" in Uttar Pradesh would end after the upcoming Assembly elections.
"BSP and SP have always bailed out Congress government in Centre whenever they needed their support. People's anger against Congress on the issues like price rise, black money and FDI in retail will reflect in the Assembly elections and lead to the ouster of Mayawati and rout of Congress," BJP spokesman Shahanwaz Hussain told reporters here.
Hussain lambasted Mayawati for promoting "personality cult" with installations of statues and alleged that she had proposed division of UP to divert focus from her five-year-long "misrule" during the Assembly polls.
He said Prime Minster Manmohan Singh owes an explanation to the country as to why he was persisting on FDI in retail despite opposition to the move.
