Mayawati to hold Lucknow rally on Sunday

LUCKNOW: BSP chief Mayawati will hold a grand rally in Lucknow on October 9, on the occasion of BSP founder Kanshi Ram’s death anniversary. The rally is expected to be Mayawati’s mega show of strength after her four regional rallies in Azamgarh, Allahabad, Saharanpur and Agra.

All district coordinators have been told to bring 5,000-10,000 people from their areas so that the success of the rally sends out a loud signal to the voters. BSP leaders said they will book trains to ensure that a large number of people can easily make it to the rally.

Mayawati has been targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP in her rallies as she is looking to consolidate the Dalit and Muslim vote-bank. Only a part of her speech is aimed at the ruling
