Mayawati takes a dig on PM Narendra Modi again, blames him for Kanpur train tragedy
NEW DELHI: BSP Chief Mayawati today blamed PM Narendra Modi for the derailment of Indore-Patna Express near Kanpur in which more than 142 people have died.

"When poor people in the country are in pain, he (PM Narendra Modi) is very happy", she said.

Taking a dig at government's plan for bullet trains, Mayawati said, "If they would have invested in maintaining the railway tracks and not on the bullet train technology, this accident wouldn't have happened."

"Railway ministry is not to be blamed for this, it is PM Modi's idealogies and policies which have led to it," she further said.

"When rich are happy and satisfied, his happiness automatically doubles", she added.
