Mayawati flays Cong, BJP, JDS
Targeting Congress, BJP and JDS which ruled Karnataka in turns, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP chief Mayawati on Friday charged them with failure to improve the socio-economic condition of the poor people in the state.
Mayawati, on hectic electioneering for her party, which is contesting 219 seats of the 224 assembly constituencies in the three-phase elections and making an all out bid to make in roads into Karnataka, alleged that backward classes, minorities and dalits remained neglected under Congress, JDS and BJP rule.
Congress, which ruled the country for about 60 years, should be blamed for all ills faced by the nation, she said.
Mayawati reiterated her party's assurance to provide reservation to the economically poor among the upper castes if voted to power.
