Mayawati claps & Mishra dances!
If Mayawati claps, Satish Chandra Mishra and Naseemuddin Siddiqui have to dance. And they did exactly this on Wednesday during a house-warming function organised at the BSP chief’s 1.08 acre, Nehru Road bungalow.
As crowds comprising ministers, party MLAs, MPs and office bearers from other states, clapped and cheered on receiving the news, S C Mishra and his cabinet colleagues Naseemuddin Siddiqui and Babu Singh Kushwaha started dancing with state co-ordinators of the party.
Even chief minister Mayawati got up and clapped along as the ministers danced to Bollywood tunes. The function being largely a personal affair, her younger brother Anand Kumar whom she had introduced at the rally on Tuesday was seated next to her for a while.
Mayawati had on Tuesday informed the rally crowds that of the money she had received from party workers she had gifted some of it to her brother Anand Kumar, as he had left his government job for her sake. She also pointed out that Anand Kumar would not join politics and he was only helping her as her younger brother.
The Nehru Road bungalow spread over 1.08 acre has covered area of 1200 sq feet according to the affidavit submitted by her in June while filling her nomination papers for the legislative council polls. The declared value of the bungalow is Rs 97.42 lakh according to the papers submitted by her.
The bungalow was later thrown open to the party workers. It has murals of various Dalit icons including Kanshi Ram and of Mayawati taking oath as chief minister.
