Mayawati attacks UP government over compensation to victims of communal riots
The two parties, SP and BJP, "fully help each other during elections to stop the BSP movement from making progress", Mayawati said.

"In different cases of serious crimes and communal riots, the SP government announces compensation indicating as if it is doing some work of great bravery and by doing so they will be establishing rule of law in the state," Mayawati said in a statement released by the party here.
"Instead of taking action against those indulging in serious crimes, the government is giving patronage to such people, thereby boosting their morale," the former Chief Minister said.
Alleging that there is no no government worth its name in the state, she cited various criminal cases and said "it is because of the wrong policies of the SP government that all development works have come to a standstill".
The BSP chief said it is "most unfortunate that communal elements have got a free hand under the Samajwadi Party government as they have got in BJP-ruled states like Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and this clearly indicates the close understanding between SP and BJP".
These two parties, SP and BJP, "fully help each other during elections to stop the BSP movement from making progress", she said, adding that instructions have been given to all party workers to expose this unethical political alliance between these parties upto the village level.
