Maya OKs Metro line to Ghaziabad

GHAZIABAD: Finally, all stops have been cleared for the Delhi Metro to roll into Ghaziabad, with UP chief minister Mayawati approving the earlier cabinet decision to bring the service till the Vaishali locality.

Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) vice-chairman, S K Dwivedi, told TOI, "The state cabinet had, a few months back, cleared the project subject to final approval by chief minister Mayawati. Now, the CM has signed her approval, and given me the responsibility of signing the memorandum of understanding with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation."
