Mauritius polls: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulates Anerood Jugnauth

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Anerood Jugnauth on the victory of his alliance in the Mauritius elections.

"Just spoke to Mr. Anerood Jugnauth and congratulated him on the victory of his alliance in the Mauritius elections", the Prime Minister tweeted.

84-year-old Jugnauth, opposition leader and ex-President, won the elections yesterday and incumbent Navinchandra Ramgoolam announced resignation.
