Martyrdom of jawans in Pulwama will not go in vain : Amit Shah

Amit Shah says that Prime Minister Narendra modi has always given a befitting reply to terrorism and will do it again.

GUWAHATI: BJP national president, Amit Shah said the martyrdom of the 45 jawans in Pulwama terror attack will not go in vain and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will ensure that terrorism is uprooted from India.

Shah, who was addressing youth workers rally of BJP in Lakhimpur Assam, on Sunday said, “The cowardly act of attacking our jawans by Pakistan will be given a befitting reply, we will ensure that martyrdom of our jawans does not go in vain as in New Delhi you do not have a Congress government but you have elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will ensure that terrorism is uprooted.”

He said that among world leaders, one person has always given a befitting reply to terrorism and that is Modi. “Diplomatically, through surgical strike we have given Pakistan a befitting reply. “


Shah said that those opposing Citizenship (Amendment) Bill were defeated in recent elections in Assam. “BJP won in three councils and won the Panchayat poll by thumping majority.”

Promising to implement, clause 6 of Assam Accord, Shah said, “Citizenship bill be brought again when BJP will come back to power.”

The bill which was passed by the Lok Sabha on January 8, was not placed in Rajya Sabha.
