MUMBAI: Police today claimed that Kannada film actress Marrayya Monica Susayraj has corroborated statements given during interrogation "fully" in a confession recorded before a magistrate.

Susayraj, accused in the sensational Neeraj Grover murder case, had recorded a statement before a magistrate as per the provisions of Criminal Procedure Code on Wednesday.

"We had sought the statement's copy and received it today. In the statement, she has not deviated and stated the same things as she had told us earlier," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria said.

Maria said there was no new revelation in the six-page statement recorded by a metropolitan magistrate.

Susayraj and her fiancee M L Jerome Mathew have been arrested in connection with the murder case.

Grover, a creative head with TV production house Synergy Adlabs, was stabbed to death allegedly by Mathew inside Susayraj's apartment in suburban Malad over a suspected "love traingle". Susayraj and Mathew allegedly chopped off Grover's body to several pieces, put the parts in three bags and then disposed it by burning them in Thane district's Manor.
