Marandi rules out possibility of returning to BJP
Former chief minister and the president of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Democratic) (JVM), Babulal Marandi ruled out the possibility of returning to BJP.
Marandi, who was here yesterday to take part in the party workers meet, told newsmen that ''the question of his returning back to BJP fold does not arise as it will be like jumping from the top of Kutub minar''.
''Moreover, I had left BJP, the party did not remove me'', Marandi said while replying to a question about the possibility of joining BJP again.
Castigating the UPA and NDA as 'power hungry', the former chief minister said the two alliances neither have any mission nor any vision but indulged in politics of power grabbing.
Referring to a recent incident in Pakur, where 26 dumpers were torched after a teacher was run over by a heavy vehicle recently, Marandi said the people of the district were being implicated in false cases by the police in connivance with the authorities of a private coal mine.
Majority of the dumper owners as well as the company officials of the concerned company were outsiders, who were getting benefitted, whereas the local residents were deprived of employment opportunities, he alleged.
The outburst of the local people in such condition was obvious in the absence of employment opportunity, he pointed.
JVM has been organising party workers meet in every assembly constituency of the state and already covered ten assembly segment, he said claiming that JVM will win the next assembly election and form the new government in Jharkhand.
