Maoists torch construction company equipment
Suspected Maoist cadre has set ablaze an equipment of a construction company at Guruva in Gaya district of Bihar for alleged non-payment of money, police said on Saturday.
"Maoist guerrillas poured petrol and kerosene on two dumpers and two JCB machines and set fire to them at Nawabchak village last night," Superintendent of Police, Gaya, Anil Lodha said.
The Maoists had demanded money from the company, engaged in the construction of Gaya-Dumaria Road, and threatened to stop their work for 15 days if the money was not paid, he said.
No one was arrested in this connection, Lodha said.
