Mantralaya journalists donate Rs 55,555 towards drought relief

Mantralaya and Vidhimandal Vartahar Sangh, a body of journalists, today contributed Rs 55,555 towards chief minister's drought relief fund.

MUMBAI: Mantralaya and Vidhimandal Vartahar Sangh, a body of journalists on political and legislature beat, today contributed Rs 55,555 towards chief minister's drought relief fund.

The cheque was handed over to Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan at a brief function held at the Vidhan Bhavan press room.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was also present. The sangh members had organised tours to the drought-hit areas last month and had prepared a report about their observations regarding the ongoing drought relief measures.

The report was submitted to the chief minister and deputy chief minister on the occasion.
