Jarange said the government had assured him that in three months the state would give 'official recognition' of the historical administrative records like the Hyderabad Gazette, Satara Gazette and the Aundh Gazette that had, at different times, recognised Marathas in Marathwada as Kunbis, making them eligible to get quota under OBC category.
Vikhe Patil said they had sought three months' time as they would need to get legal opinion from the advocate general.
